Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance
As an independent charity - funded almost entirely by public donations - the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance can deliver exceptional care to people that need it the most. People like Liz, she tells her story below;
Our doctor and paramedic teams bring all the skills and equipment of an A&E department to critically ill and injured patients, ensuring they can get the care they urgently need without delay.
With each potentially life-saving mission costing in excess of £2,500, it is only through the generosity of our supporters that make it possible for us to provide this vital service - 24 hours a day, 356 days a year.

Carers Support West Sussex is an independent fundraising charity supporting some of the 89,000 unpaid family and friend carers across the county.
A carer may be a family, friend, parent, partner or child caring for someone with additional needs, an illness, frailty, disability or drug or alcohol problem, usually at home and life can become pretty tough!
We run Support Groups and a Carer Response Line for any Carer to call on 0300 028 8888. We help carers access Carer Equipment to assist and reassure in the caring role and Wellbeing Funds for a short break or for carers to do something else for themselves. Personal Wellbeing Support is also offered through Counselling, OnLine support or our Call Back phone service. We have Support Teams in all major West Sussex hospitals and at East Surrey Hospital.
Our charity works to help carers to cope promoting choice, control and independence.

Neurokinex Kids provides pioneering rehabilitation programmes for children living with paralysis. Our areas of specialisation include spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, brain injury, and stroke.
Whereas many traditional rehabilitation providers focus on compensating for paralysis, we focus instead on promoting recovery through the latest breakthroughs in neurorehabilitation research. As an affiliate of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation’s NeuroRecovery Network® (NRN), Neurokinex Kids is the first centre outside of the US to offer the NRN’s innovative therapies to children.
Neurokinex Kids’ Activity-based Rehabilitation programmes include treatments unique to the NRN. The benefits vary from child to child but include functional recovery as well as improved bone growth and development. This in turn reduces the chances of secondary complications and the burden of care on their families
At Neurokinex Kids we are committed to getting children back to doing what they do best – having fun and exploring the world!

Crawley Open House
Crawley Open House (COH) have served the homeless and disadvantaged since 1994. They operate a 24 bed hostel, busy day centre, 3 move-on houses and a community outreach team from their base in Three Bridges. Last year they successfully resettled over 60% of their hostel residents to more permanent accommodation, and the day centre had over 16,000 visits from those needing advice, a hot meal, a shower, computer access, a food parcel, some company or to see their GP, counsellors or hairdresser. If anyone was found homeless around Gatwick, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Horsham, East Grinstead or Redhill they would be referred to COH for practical and emotional support as they are the only year-round homeless shelter in the area.
As a registered charity they are part funded by local government, but need to find around £300,000 every year from fundraising events and activities. They are therefore delighted to be partnering with Run Gatwick and entering a team of fundraising runners! St Catherine's Hospice
St Catherine’s Hospice is a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. It could be a bath, a favourite meal, or helping someone manage their pain. For us, hospice care is whatever our patients need it to be.
By raising money for St Catherine’s, you can be there for someone in Surrey or Sussex when life comes full circle. Every step you take could help us give counselling to a child who is grieving the loss of a parent, cook a patient’s favourite meal or care for someone at home so they can be surrounded by family in their final days.
Your fundraising means we can be there when and where people need us most. To run for St Catherine's Hospice at this year's British Airways Run Gatwick, please contact [email protected].
